After the tragic death of the 25-year old Morosini in the Seria B, the Italian football federation logically went on to cancel all matches for the weekend, so we have shifted our focus to some slightly more exotic leagues, like the Russian Premier division where Spartak Moscow takes on Rubin, while Anzhi plays Dinamo Moscow at home. In England, leaders Manchester United will look to extend their lead at the top by defeating Aston Villa.

Anzhi v Dinamo Moscow Prediction

Anzhi got world wide recognition after their news breaking transfer of Samuel Eto’o whom they bought from Inter for a transfer fee of around 30 million euro. What’s even more impressive is the wage they are paying the Cameroonian star – around 20 mil a year! Samuel has to put in the performances to repay some of that money, and yet he has failed to find the back of the net for several matches now. We reckon he will do so today, while Dinamo have some great players in attack too. We are talking about the likes of Kevin Kurani and Voronin. Bottom line is that these two sides should deliver a fairly entertaining game with more than two goals in it, and both teams scoring.

Betting Verdict: Goal/Goal @ 2.10

Manchester United v Aston Villa Prediction

Man United failed in their last match – a surprise 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic, where we predicted that they will not get all three points, but our expectations were for a draw really. Anyway, City won their game yesterday with a convincing scoreline of 1-6, so now the pressure would be on United to deliver, and get all three points against a club they have had plenty of problems in the past. Villa, despite their crisis, still have quality players and can cause problems at Old Trafford. N’Zogbia just got back from injury, while Emil Heskey in combination with Agbonlahor can produce a goal or two here.

Betting Verdict: Goal Goal @ 2.10
