Burnley is almost certain for the drop. In fact only a miracle can save them and they know it quite well. They occupy the 19th place in the PL and are 7 points behind West Ham with (17th) just 3 games left to play.
In terms of players availability, only Clarke Carlisle (defender) is doubtful to miss the game for Burnley.
Benitez on the other hand has another injury to deal with with David Ngog complaining with back problems. Emiliano Insua, Fabio Aurelio, Martin Skrtel and Martin Kelly are all still injured.
In a statement for the official club website, Rafa Benitez said the race for 4th spot is still on: “We know it will be difficult but we are still in it. We have a chance, so we will just have to keep doing our job. We must try to win the first game and see what happens. If we win that then we will have more confidence and we will have to try to do the same against Chelsea and then against Hull.”
