Casemiro is expected to be given his first start as a Red Devil as his defensive presence will be much needed against City. The big question though is whether Ten Hag decides to keep both Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes in the starting lineup. It could be a bit risky for United to put up such an attacking-minded team. The other option for the Dutch manager is to use a more defensive lineup and pair Casemiro with McTominay. If both Erkisen and Fernandes start, United should definitely get on the scoresheet.
Up front, Cristiano Ronaldo will be benched once again. Ten Hag has to put his trust in the young guns. After all, football is a game meant for fast and energetic players, especially when you play against one of the best teams in the world. Unfortunately, Ronaldo no longer has the pace he once had.
